The time has come for my family to part with my step-dads pride and joy; A 1955 Beechcraft Bonanza (V-tail).
He passed away a few months ago and it's up to the kids to make sure this treasure is passed down to capable hands. The history is unknown to us, but there's years of notes in the log books for someone that knows what they are looking for, along with spare parts in the hangar to show all the ADs that he did over the time owned. My step-dad was a commercial pilot for decades and knew his stuff when it came to this airplane.
The airplane has been hangared its entire life and is currently located at Myrtle Creek Municipal Airport-16S. The rent for the hangar is $150/month and the owners are very friendly. The rent is current and we have been visiting the hangar when in town. Our mother is planning to leave the state, so it's time to part with this historical flying icon.
To help propsective buyers, I have taken a few videos showing close views of the open compartments. The registration expired in 2019 and my step-dad thought there was something wrong with the carburator, so he removed that a few years ago and struggled with the cost of its replacement. He did purchase (and its in the hanger in a box), but never got around to putting it back on. This and a few engine connections are all that needs to be done. The battery has been on a trickle charger and I have been keeping a little air in the tires. The hangar has jack-stands and some various items left behind that go with the plane. The oil staining on the ground under the plane is from a disconnected oil line and possibly a hydraulic leak in the right landing gear.
I have been going to Oregon monthly, so if you would like to set up a time to meet, please get in touch with me on my website's contact page. We are seeking $15,000 or the best offer that will give it the love it deserves. You can see all the videos on my Youtube page here.
